I basically just followed the example in section 11.1 for the buck-boost only making the necessary changes to adapt it to the flyback. The examples in section 11.1 can be adapted to the flyback to answer parts a through d. Part e is covered in section 11.2. Not sure if this helps.
what I was wondering is are we allowed to just use the general switch model that is given in the book, or are we supposed to derive a new model?
I realize that I can derive a model, but the book actually does not say that you should do that. It says to draw out the small signal model of the converter. Which could be done just by substituting the general DCM switch model into the circuit.
