Lecture 3 question

It's a very interesting approach. But it seems like it can be used with perfect switches. How about RDS on on MOSFETS and reverse recovery on diodes? Can this approach still be used?

    Looks like it can be used with non-ideal switches. See question 7.16 in the textbook (which is assigned in our homework).
