In various examples and homework problems we're asked to manipulated sources and elements across the transformer or into other forms to make the analysis easier. Is there any material available to help better understand how to perform these manipulations?
I think Ch.7,8 material has sufficient examples. End of chapter problems would be nice examples too. As you said, your equivalent circuit is organized so you could analyze easier. For small-signal case, it would mean you can see from the circuit directly the ideal conversion ratio, the lossy elemnts, components organized by small-signal and DC terms. This would make it convenient to find transfer functions where you zero some small signals.
